FIELD: aircraft (A/C) navigation.
SUBSTANCE: intended to ensure the safety of aircraft flights by using an automatic dependent surveillance (ADS) system on board the aircraft. The method for monitoring the reliability of observation information additionally consists in the fact that, first, the coordinates of the points at which signals from the ADS are received are set, after the aircraft coordinates are determined, the geometric height of the A/C and the distance from the receiving points to the A/C in the horizontal plane are determined, after receiving the ADS signal, the presence of signal transmission time stamps, in the absence of a time stamp, measure the signal reception times at minimum two reception points, calculate the difference in signal reception times, calculate the hyperbole of the probable location of the A/C from the difference in the times of signal reception and the coordinates of the reception points, use the hyperbole of the probable location of the A/C and of the given error in determining the location of the A/C, the boundaries of the strobe are calculated, passing from the hyperbole of the probable location of the A/C at a distance of the specified error, and before generating a signal about the reliability of the data from the ADS, the presence of the A/C within the strobe is checked. The observation information validation device for implementing the method further comprises an additional ground station (8), an observation data validation device (9) and a meteorological data base (10).
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of ADS data.
