FIELD: the invention refers to modes of identification and determination of mobile objects' position.
SUBSTANCE: the mode is based on determination of an object's coordinates as coordinates of function maximum of trustworthiness built on computation of cross-correlation functions of a sensor's signal, received by several scattered in space stations with a reference signal. The communication between transponders and stationary stations is executed with the aid of the protocol of a multiple access with time separation when transponders work on transmission of information only in assigned intervals of time, and in the rest time on reception. After processing information about responsive signal of the transponder from each unmatched pair of stations the object's identification occurs with 100% degree of trustworthiness and the object's position is determined with accuracy till 15-30 m.
EFFECT: increases trustworthiness of identification and determination of a transponder in any point of controlled space.
