FIELD: equipment for grinding material.
SUBSTANCE: method is proposed for starting a roller crusher containing two parallel rollers, which are made with the possibility of rotation in opposite directions and separated by an adjustable gap, and the feed means. According to the method, the width of the gap between the rolls is set to a predetermined value (x), which is greater than the value (X) of the width of the working gap; starting the feed means at a feed rate (r) that is different from the feed rate (R) during normal operation, said feed rate (r) being less than the feed rate (R) during normal operation; ensuring that the rolls rotate in opposite directions at a predetermined speed (s) that is greater than 0 rpm; setting the parameters in steps a) to c) so that the material to be crushed passes between the rolls along the entire length (L) of the rolls on which crushing is carried out, and no specific crushing force (f) acts on the material through these rolls, then carrying out a gradual increase in the feed rate (r) until the operating feed rate (R) and the crushing work force (f) are reached.
EFFECT: reduction in the amount of stress acting on the rolls, the frame and the hydraulic system of the roll crusher.
