FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to braking parachute systems of an aircraft. The parachute braking landing unit of a single-engine aircraft contains a container (1) of a braking parachute and the braking parachute itself. The braking parachute container is made movable by means of a translational electromechanism (7) of the mechanism (2) for releasing and retracting the container from the raised position to the retracted position and back. In the retracted position, the drag parachute container (1) is recessed into the niche of the upper tail section of the aircraft above the aircraft engine, and in the raised position it is turned above the aircraft surface around the container (1) rotation axis. The unit is equipped with a braking parachute container flap (6) mounted on the rear part of the drogue chute container (1) with the possibility of its opening using the mechanism (5) for opening the braking parachute container flap (6) through the limit switch mechanism (4) and fixed by the electromechanical lock of the mechanism (5) opening the flap (6).
EFFECT: reduction of aerodynamic losses during the flight of an aircraft, reduction of the effective dispersion surface, as well as reduction of the time for the initiation of a braking parachute is achieved.
