FIELD: testing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the methods for simulating solar radiation by artificial light sources during thermal vacuum testing of space technology. A solar radiation simulator is installed in the thermal vacuum chamber in the form of a two-dimensional array of a plurality of point sources in the form of assemblies of LED emitters of various wavelengths and incandescent lamps. Each point source is equipped with its own optical element. A radiation flux directed to the test object is formed. The radiation of light sources directly on the test object is summarized. Incandescent lamps and LED emitters form a region of wavelengths of joint radiation. Spectral correspondence at different levels of energy illumination is obtained by separately adjusting the power of LED emitters of various wavelengths and incandescent lamps. The power of all these radiation sources is controlled separately by a control system in which feedback is used based on the readings of the energy illumination sensors and the spectral distribution.

EFFECT: increase in the reliability of thermal vacuum tests and an increase in the energy efficiency of simulating solar radiation.
