FIELD: transport, package.
SUBSTANCE: specimens of materials arranged in isothermal containers are subjected to thermal vacuum effects at definite temperature to catch released volatile condensing substances by condensing plates. Weight loss is determined from difference in specimen weights before and after said effects. Similarly, content of volatile condensing substances is defined. Besides, specimens are subjected to high-power radiation. Material gas release product polluting capacity is estimated by integrity and thickness of polluting films on optical surfaces, deposition chemical composition and condensed deposit weight. Thermal vacuum plant consists of working vacuum gate chamber, material specimens loading gate chamber, imitator specimen loading and preprocessing gate chamber, optical surface of tight container loading/unloading gate chamber for transportation optical surface imitator specimens. Additionally, proposed plant comprises thermostatic device of imitator specimen and VUV- and UV-band radiator arranged so that VUV and UV radiation axis is perpendicular to axis "material specimen - specimen - optical surface imitator" to cross length of said axis approximately at its center.
