FIELD: absorption equipment.

SUBSTANCE: absorbing element (5) includes first layer (6) and second layer (7) located on the non-skin side of the surface of first layer (6) and containing absorbent polymer (P). Second layer (7) has, in at least in one of front part (A) and back part (C), longitudinal extension (7F) which extends outward in longitudinal direction X from tangent line (65L) in lateral direction (Y) and is tangent to end (65) in the longitudinal direction of first layer (6). In at least one of front part (A) the back part (C), fixing portion (120) of the end part of each leak-proof cuff (12) overlaps with longitudinal extension (7F) of second layer (7) in plan view, and end (65) in the longitudinal direction of first layer (6) is located inside in the longitudinal direction with respect to fixing section (120) of the end part and is located at a distance determined by space (S) from fixing section (120) of the end part. Longitudinal extension (7F) of second layer (7) has a lower bending stiffness than the layer (6) and has higher absorbent polymer density (P) than first layer (6).
