FIELD: continuous casting of metal.
SUBSTANCE: pouring nozzle (10) for melt flowing through it contains a lower end (23), an outer surface (11), an elongated channel (12). The channel (12) contains sequentially located inlet (30), tapering (40), expanding (50) sections and a control section (60) located below the expanding section (50). The cross-sectional area of the channel (12) decreases from the expanding section towards the lower end of the nozzle. In the channel (12) at the lower end (23) between the pair of walls (92) there is a baffle (70) for separating the flow and a pair of baffles (80), each baffle (80) is located between the baffle (70) and the corresponding side wall (76). Each baffle (80) extends inwardly from the side wall (92), and a pair of baffles (80) is located symmetrically about the central vertical axis (14) of the channel (12). The baffle (70) comprises a flow separation baffle outlet port (72) extending from the control section (60) to the outer surface (11) of the nozzle.
EFFECT: stable nature of the flow of molten metal.
