SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for amputation of the lower limb. S-shaped incision is made 2–5 cm distal to the ankle joint with the formation of the anterior and posterior flaps. The exarticulation of the tibia bones in the ankle joint is performed with the release of the extensor tendons of the fingers and the Achilles tendon. In the absence of an inflammatory lesion of the tendons, the latter are isolated in the wound as far as possible and cut off. In the presence of an inflammatory lesion of the tendons, they are removed through separate incisions on the medial and lateral surfaces of the lower third of the leg. Then, the articular surface of the tibia bones is sawn off together with the ankles, while maintaining the anterior and lower tibial ligaments, with the removal of the extensor tendons of the fingers through separate incisions on the medial and lateral surfaces of the lower third of the leg.

EFFECT: method provides the possibility of maintaining the support function and the possibility of using the prosthesis due to the formation of a consistent stump.
