METHOD OF TREATING PYO-NECROTIC PROCESSES OF TOES IN DIABETIC FOOT SYNDROME Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B17/00

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery, and can be used for treating pyo-necrotic injuries of toes in diabetic patients. Method consists in exarticulation of involved fingers, with preliminary crossing of tendons of long extensors of involved toes in Lisfranc joint area, wherein to cross a tendon of a long extensor of 2–4 toes on a foot surface of the foot in the joint area of Lisfranc, 1–2 cm cross section is used to dissect the skin with the subcutaneous fat and fascia, soft tissues are separated, and a long extensor of the involved finger is separated. If the long extensor of the first toe is removed, the incision is made at the same level more medially by 1.5 cm. Thereafter, longitudinal incisions are made on the dorsal surface of the injured fingers along the plexus-phalanx joints; the soft tissues are dissected up to the bone, extended to the lateral and medial sides and involved fingers are exarticulated with heads of metatarsal bones retained. Affected fingers are removed with transected tendons. Tendon sheath is ligatured.

EFFECT: invention provides reducing the number of high amputations in patients with diabetic foot syndrome, preventing development and spread of suppurative necrotic processes along tendon sheaths.
