FIELD: evaporators.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a cartridge for an evaporator and an evaporator. An evaporator cartridge comprises a tank body having at least one inner container that is configured to hold a vaporized substance, a vaporization chamber in communication with the reservoir body and including at least one absorbent element configured to draw in the vaporized substance from at least one said inner container to the evaporation chamber for evaporation by means of a heating element, and at least one vent hole passing through the tank body wall, wherein at least one said vent hole allows ambient air to pass through it into the inside of the tank body so that the reservoir body is substantially maintained in pressure equilibrium when the volatilized substance is released from at least one said inner container. At least one said inner container is substantially sealed with respect to said at least one absorbent element, wherein said at least one inner container is capable of collapsing when the volatile substance is released from it.

EFFECT: it is possible to apply a constant pressure to the vaporized substance stored in the inner container, and as a result, to supply the vaporized substance to the heating element at a constant rate, which does not depend on the filling level of the vaporized substance in the inner container.
