FIELD: evaporators.

SUBSTANCE: evaporator cartridge (220) is described that is capable of effectively and efficiently heating a non-liquid feedstock that includes the volatilized material. The cartridge may include a heating element (250) including an electrically resistive material (358) and may be configured to vaporize the vaporizable material by delivering heat to the vaporizable material. The cartridge may include a cartridge contact (224) in electrical communication with the electrically resistive material. The cartridge contact may be configured to connect to an evaporator terminal adjacent to the cartridge connector to allow electrical energy to flow from the evaporator through the electrically resistive material. The electrical energy may cause the electrical resistive material and the volatilized material to heat up, resulting in the formation of an aerosol for inhalation by the user.
