FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automatic installations designed to protect against explosions and fires during the transportation and operation of substances that can cause an explosion or fire. The fixed joint seal comprises a housing in which a magnetic assembly is located in the form of a permanent magnet with a magnetic circuit and a magnetic fluid, whereas the housing is closed by a lid, and a disk of ferromagnetic material is installed in the housing between the magnetic assembly and the lid. The disk is made with a guide passed through the mentioned cover, with a gap relative to the latter and configured for movement in the axial direction. An elastic seal is installed between the disk and the magnetic circuit, whereas the guide and the cover are made of a diamagnetic material.
EFFECT: increased reliability and tightness of the fixed joint seal after its operation due to the use of a joint elastic seal and magnetic fluid in the magnetic circuits of the magnetic system.
