FIELD: metal processing.
SUBSTANCE: complex processing of phosphogypsum to obtain a concentrate of rare earth metals (REM) and gypsum raw materials for the production of construction materials used to obtain rare and REM from any type of raw material. The automated plant contains a PG grinding unit, a cascade of flow reactors with paddle mixers, at least five sorption columns connected in series, a filter system and auxiliary equipment. The cascade of flow reactors includes a reactor for preliminary washing of the PG from water-soluble impurities and at least two reactors for leaching the PG pulp with a sulfuric acid solution. Sorption columns are equipped with shut-off valves in the form of valves capable of independent automatic control of switching each column from sorption mode to washing-desorption-regeneration modes. Paddle mixers of flow reactors are made with blade inclination angle equal to 30-45 degrees.
EFFECT: increase in productivity of the unit is provided by transferring it to the mode of real continuous operation while increasing the efficiency of the unit, which is expressed in improving the quality of the rare earth concentrate and the degree of its extraction.
