FIELD: metallurgy of non-ferrous metals.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the Waelz process of zinc-lead-containing materials and can be used in the pyrometallurgical processing of zinc-lead-containing materials with a high lead content. Zinc-lead-containing raw materials are mixed with coke and additive, after which the resulting mixture is subject to the Waelz process in a tube furnace. Dolomite is used as an additive at a weight ratio of calcium oxide in dolomite to the sum of lead and zinc sulfate in the raw material equal to 0.3-0.4.

EFFECT: reduced consumption of coke breeze, increased sublimation capacity of the furnace and increased degree of distillation of lead into sublimes.
