FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the metallurgy of non-ferrous metals and can be used in the processing of zinc cakes by waxing. Charge for waxing zinc-containing materials contains, by mass %: lead-containing zinc sulfide material – 3÷7, zinc cake – 63÷68, solid carbonaceous reductant – the rest.
EFFECT: use of a charge of said composition increases the sublimation ability to 188 kg/m3⋅day and increases the extraction of lead in sublimations up to 91 %.
