FIELD: heat insulation.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an insulating block (6; 106; 206; 306) suitable for making a wall of a sealed and heat-insulating tank. The heat-insulating block comprises a support plate (12; 112; 212; 312), a cover plate (11; 111; 211; 311) and a foam block (13; 113; 213; 313). The insulating block also comprises a pair of stiffening elements (20, 21; 120; 250, 251; 380) securely connected to the base plate and extended along the pair of sides of the base plate. Each stiffener protrudes from the support plate in the thickness direction of the insulating block and has a surface in free contact with the side surface of the foam block. The foam block has a plurality of recesses (15; 115; 215; 315), each of which extends between two adjacent side surfaces of the foam block and is designed to accommodate the retaining element (30). In this case, the insulating block has a support surface (16; 116; 216; 316) for the holding element in the recess.
EFFECT: increased strength of the insulating block for the tank.
