FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the agricultural harvesting equipment, in particular to a cutting device for cutting plants. The plant cutting device includes at least one cutting device, containing at least one copier mounted on one holder and designed to determine the elevation of the plant, at least one cutting element mounted on the other holder and designed to cut the plant depending on the specified elevation, and at least two suspension rods. Moreover, at least one of the holders is connected by suspension rods to the frame of the cutting device, and the holders are movably mounted relative to each other. The cutting device includes an adjusting device configured to adjust the mutual position of the holders independently of the movement of at least one of the holders relative to the frame of the cutting device. The unit comprises a cutting device and a haulm-removing device located in front of it in the direction of movement, having at least one top-removing element rotating during operation around the rotation axis. Moreover, the frame of the cutting device, at least during operation, is located motionless relative to the specified axis of rotation.
EFFECT: increased reliability of plant cutting.
