FIELD: research of the properties of concrete.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the production of concrete products to determine the strength of non-destructive testing. The method for determining the strength of concrete includes manufacturing a concrete sample, passing a direct electric current through the sample during the manufacturing process, exposing the resulting sample to an electromagnetic field with a strength of 3-4 mA/m, measuring the initial value of the electric current voltage at the initial moment of applying the electromagnetic field and its relaxation time up to the moment when the voltage of the electric current takes on a value of 10-15% of the original value. This measurement is carried out at three different points on the sample at the same current. Based on the obtained voltage values, the values of electrical resistance and electrical resistivity are determined in each of the three sections of the sample, the average value of the electrical resistivity of the sample is calculated, and the compressive strength is determined from the calibration curve for a particular brand of concrete.
EFFECT: method improves the accuracy of the results of non-destructive testing in determining the strength of concrete.
