SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a collection bottle containing a container having an open end, a closed end, a main section and a neck, the neck having a rim forming the open end of the container; a vent assembly located on the rim of the container to allow ventilation of the container during use, the vent assembly including a vent insert; and a cuff assembly forming a container closure, the cuff assembly being releasably engaged with the neck of the container over its open end, and the cuff assembly comprising a nipple and a cuff; at the same time, the cuff assembly and the container are made relative to each other so that they allow you to choose the configuration of the collection bottle between the first configuration and the second configuration, and in the first configuration, the cuff assembly is configured to seal interaction with the ventilation assembly and press the ventilation assembly into sealing interaction with the rim of the container, and the vent assembly with the seal interacts with the nipple so that the container in the first configuration is ventilated only through the vent assembly, and in the second configuration, in which the vent assembly is absent in the collection bottle, the cuff assembly is configured to seal engagement with the rim of the container; wherein the nipple includes venting means configured to ventilate the container in a second configuration in which there is no vent assembly in the collection bottle; the vents extend radially into the rim of the mouth of the container, but do not extend radially into the top of the vent insert such that in the first collection bottle configuration the vent insert is sealed relative to the teat radially into the vents and in such a way that in the second collection bottle configuration the vents interact with the rim of the container so that air can enter the container through the ventilation means.

EFFECT: vented collection bottle in which the vent assembly can be removed and the collection bottle can still be used without risk of leakage.
