SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a closure kit comprising lid or cap (3) and container (1), that engage with each other. Lid or cap (3) is characterised by that it has a skirt, and container (1) is characterised by that it has an upstanding rim, wherein each of these two members is generally polygonal (preferably square) in shape. Located on the front surface of each side of the polygonal shape are inter-engageable projections (13) and (14). Inter-engaging surfaces of the projections run substantially in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the polygonal shape and are of relatively small angular extent about that axis. Material of one or both of the skirt and container is resiliently elastic. Lid or cap may be assembled with an axial push, and removed by twisting. This can be assisted by camming surfaces (12) and (14) on the skirt and container, wherein said surfaces can engage with one another when lid or cap (3) is placed on container (1) and which tend as inter-engageable projections (13) and (14) are brought into engagement to urge lid or cap (3) to rotate relatively to container (1) to achieve a maximum area of inter-engagement between those projections.

EFFECT: said kit is especially useful when used in baby or infant feeding bottles whose cap can be provided with teat (2).
