The method for biodegradation of hydroxybenzoic acids involves the interaction of 4-hydroxybenzoic, 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic, 2,5-dihydroxybenzoic acids at a concentration of 1000 mg/l with cells of the Rhodococcus ruber P25 strain (IEGM 896) in a liquid mineral medium without additional carbon sources.

EFFECT: biodegradation of mono- and dihydroxylated benzoic acids of high concentration, formed as a product of the decomposition of intracellular compounds and persistent organic pollutants to safe compounds.
