FIELD: conveyors.
SUBSTANCE: stand for experimental research of the processes of afloat movement and flooding of a two-link caterpillar conveyor comprises a cable, a drum, and a water pump. Additionally, a weight and size physical model of a two-link tracked conveyor has been introduced, with a hole in the upper part of each link which is connected to a ball joint, with a number of opening holes on each link located below the waterline, with link position indicators, with removable weights, and with a device for protection against water penetration into the body. The weight and size physical model is attached to one end of the cable, to which a set of weights and a cable are attached at the other end. The body of the physical model holding device with a holder is attached to one of the transverse walls of the above-water part of the hydrodynamic tray. On each end side in the underwater part there is a device for creating a uniform flow of water and a video camera on a tripod is placed perpendicularly.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of the recorded results is achieved, providing the ability to determine the time of flooding with different areas of hull damage, providing the ability to test the effectiveness of various means of increasing survivability.
