FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a method for manufacturing of a catalyst and can be used in the process of catalytic oxidation of ammonia. A method for manufacturing a catalyst, in which a layer of metal oxides that are part of the metal support is produced on the surface of a metal support by high-temperature annealing in an oxygen-containing environment, and then an intermediate layer of metal oxides and a catalytic layer are applied, while using a metal support made of fechral, and before applying the intermediate layer, the surface of the metal carrier annealed in an oxygen-containing medium is treated with an aqueous solution of a boron-containing reagent and then the metal carrier is additionally annealed. The invention is also related to a catalyst for oxidation of ammonia produced by the specified method.
EFFECT: increase of adhesive interaction between the metal carrier and the intermediate layer of the catalyst.
