FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to methods of producing catalysts for various reactions, including oxidation reactions. Described is a method of preparing a catalyst in form of a catalyst cartridge, involving placing a fibrous organic substrate in layers between two layers of flexible heat-resistant reinforcing material which is permeable for liquid and gas, and the obtained multilayered composite is endowed with a shape to conform with the configuration of the catalytic reactor, after which precursors of the oxide component of the catalyst are deposited onto the obtained composite in form of a solution through soaking. Drying is carried out at temperature 100-250°C and calcination is carried out at temperature 350-1200°C, where the organic substrate burns out and precursors of the oxide component of the catalyst decompose. Finally, soaking is repeated with a solution which contains precursors of the deposited active component and drying and calcination are repeated.

EFFECT: shorter down time for equipment and reduced operational costs owing to use of a catalyst obtained using the method described above, which ensures easy replacement and operation.
