FIELD: catalysts.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used in the process of catalytic oxidation of ammonia and reduction of nitrogen oxides in the production of nitric acid, as well as for other redox processes in the chemical industry. A method for manufacturing a catalyst is disclosed, in which an intermediate and a catalytic layer are sequentially applied to a polymetallic carrier. Before applying the intermediate layer, aluminium powder is applied to the polymetallic carrier in dry form or from suspension and calcined at a temperature of 600-700°C. The surface of the polymetallic support is then leached and stabilized with alkaline or neutral oxidizing agents such as sodium hypochlorite or potassium persulfate or hydrogen peroxide. The step of applying an intermediate catalyst layer is also disclosed.
EFFECT: increase of adhesive interaction between the polymetallic carrier and the intermediate layer of the catalyst.
