FIELD: filtration equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method for electrostatic gas filtration designed to remove solid and liquid particles from the air. The electrostatic gas filtration device contains a housing, gas supply and outlet lines, a hollow precipitation electrode, and an ionizing electrode. The ionizing electrode is located inside the collecting electrode, and the ionizing electrode is made with magnetic stabilization relative to the collecting electrode. The method of electrostatic filtration of gases includes stages in which stabilization of the ionizing electrode is ensured using a magnetic field. Contaminated gas is supplied to the electrostatic gas filtration device through the gas supply line. The gas is ionized using at least one ionizing electrode and the purified gas is released. The electrostatic gas filtration device can effectively purify gas and operates reliably due to the magnetic stabilization design including a magnet and a weight.

EFFECT: improves efficiency of gas purification and reliability, including owing to stable operation of the electrostatic precipitator, presence of magnetic stabilization of the ionizing electrodes, which prevents breakdown and emergency shutdown of the device, the presence of an additional cleaning stage before interaction of the polluting particles in the gas with the electrodes, removing gas pollutant particles from the surface of the collecting electrode.
