FIELD: materials.
SUBSTANCE: production of ceramic materials based on crushed igneous rock gabbro. A method for producing ceramic materials based on igneous rock is proposed, which includes obtaining gabbro powder having a chemical composition, wt.%: 49.1 SiO2, 0.7 TiO2, 13.3 Al2O3, 6.5 Fe2O3, 8.4 FeO, 9.6 MgO, 9.7 CaO, 2.0 Na2O, 0.4 K2O, in the form of a two-fraction mixture of particles, adding potassium liquid glass to it as a binding component, moulding by pressing under a pressure of 620 atm for 10 minutes, drying in air at a temperature of 70°C to constant weight with further heat treatment and holding at a temperature of 1100°C for 30 min. The range of particle sizes of rock fractions is from 0.125 to 0.25 mm and from 0.063 to 0.045 mm, taken in a ratio of 1:10, the amount of potassium liquid glass is 8 wt.% of the original mass of the rock. Before the pressing stage, a reinforcing additive in the form of chopped basalt fibre 3 mm long and 12 microns thick is introduced into the mixture of rock and potassium liquid glass in an amount of 4 wt.% of the mass of the original rock.
EFFECT: new material.
