RADAR RANGING METHOD Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC G01S13/26 G01S13/88 G01V3/12

Abstract RU 2804395 C1

FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and techniques of radar ranging and can be used to search for and detect objects that reflect electromagnetic waves. In the claimed method, the probing signal is formed as a linear sum of two independent, uniform in amplitude complex signals of different classes of the same duration, amplitude with approximately the same or different bases at the same carrier frequency, for example, in the form of a phase-code-controlled pulse and a frequency-modulated pulse. The echo signal after reception and amplification is limited in amplitude at the level of the rms value of the receiver's own noise in order to equalize powerful interference with the useful signal. Further, independent coordinated processing of each of the signals constituting the total amount in the form of an echo signal is carried out. The formation of a probing signal in this way, the use of matched and additional filters in the processing of impulse responses that implement the pairing property of D-codes, as well as the principle of sum-difference processing together with the intersection operation, provide decorrelation of interference in independent phase modulation and frequency modulation channels, primarily signal-like or structural.

EFFECT: improved noise immunity of radar stations under conditions of signal-like interference and increased structural secrecy of the probing signal.
