FIELD: shock absorbers.
SUBSTANCE: shock absorber for the vehicle comprises the inner and outer tubes, piston, rod, valve. The inner tube at least partially defines the inner fluid cavity and defines the bypass zone. The outer pipe covers at least partially located in it the inner pipe. The pipes together at least partially define an external fluid cavity therebetween. The bypass zone comprises a set of bypass holes defined in the inner tube and provides communication between the inner cavity and the outer one. The piston is mounted for movement in the inner tube. The piston moves in compression towards the first end of the inner tube and in rebound towards the second. The piston has a first side facing the first end of the inner tube and a second side facing the second end of the tube, and defines a passage opening through the piston to allow fluid flow between the first and second sides. The rod passes through the second end of the inner tube and is connected to the piston. An electronically controlled valve is connected to the piston and controls the flow of fluid through the piston bore.
EFFECT: reduced time and increased damping calibration range.
