FIELD: cryogenic technology.
SUBSTANCE: it relates in particular to the field of design and operation of containers (tanks and casks) for storing and transporting large quantities of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to various categories of consumers on roads, railways and transportation of LNG in cryogenic tanks on sea and river vessels over long distances. The tank contains the main outer shell, fixed, for example, on a car platform, inside which an inner vessel for liquefied natural gas is placed. The first auxiliary shell is located on the inner surface of the main outer shell, on the inner surface of which the second auxiliary shell is placed and the refrigerant circulates in the space between them. The space between the second auxiliary shell and the inner vessel for LNG is filled with insulating material, and two heat exchangers-freezers are additionally installed in the tank structure. The first of which is in contact with the first auxiliary shell, the space of which is filled with a refrigerant. The second one is in contact with the inner vessel for LNG and air is sucked into the layer of insulating material from the environment through the specified heat exchangers-freezers when a pressure drop occurs between the gas in the layer of insulating material and the air surrounding the equipment during cooling with condensation or freezing of moisture from the incoming air in heat exchangers-freezers, from where the dried air enters the insulating material and equalizes the pressure in it.
EFFECT: improving the operational capabilities of the tank for storage and transportation of liquefied natural gas.
