FIELD: foundry production.
SUBSTANCE: method of inserting cores into a mould includes placing the cores on an assembly jig, gripping, fixing, moving and installing the cores into the mould. The insertion of the cores into the mould is carried out by combining the insertion jig, which contains connected upper and lower frames, with the assembly jig. The upper and lower frames of the spacer are connected along the perimeter by controlled sliding centring units containing upper and lower flanges, a pair of crosses between them, bushings and a ball bearing installed in the centre of the lower cross. Forced displacement of the upper part of the cantering unit relative to its lower part along the ball support is carried out by means of pneumatic cylinders mounted to the lower flange to ensure interaction of the pneumatic cylinder rods with the side surface of the lower cross.
EFFECT: ensures accurate positioning and orientation of the spacer jig with the assembly jig and accurate placement of the cores into the mould.
