SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the correction of postprandial glycemia. The method includes the use of a monocomponent herbal drug with hypoglycemic activity. As a monocomponent medicinal herbal preparation, an aqueous infusion of the blue cyanosis herb Polemonii caerulei herba is used in the ratio of 1 g of dried plant material with a moisture content of 11% per 10 ml of extractant - purified water. The infusion is administered orally at a dose of 120 mg/kg of body weight based on the dry residue 60 minutes before the glucose load.

EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to increase the efficiency of correction of postprandial glycemia during a glucose load.
