SUBSTANCE: invention is related to x-ray surgical methods of diagnosis and treatment and can be used to perform intravascular optical coherence tomography (OCT) of the renal arteries (RA). To displace blood from the lumen of the artery and create an optically transparent environment, a mechanical injection of carbon dioxide is used, and the internal lumen of the imaging catheter is washed with a heparinized 0.9% NaCl solution.
EFFECT: method allows you to evaluate the structure of the RA walls and identify their pathological changes or damage by creating an optically transparent environment with carbon dioxide.
