FIELD: mechanical engineering; fan industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used as part of fans, single- and double-suction smoke exhausters and in other mechanisms where transmission of rotational torque is required. The device for transmitting rotational energy contains a rotating element of the mechanism, a main electric motor and a backup electric motor, mounted on a frame, with a rotating element installed between them. The transmission of rotational energy of the electric motor shafts to the shaft of the rotating element is carried out through a V-belt transmission and overrunning clutches installed on the shaft of the rotating element. In this case, the main and backup electric motors are installed parallel to each other with an offset by the thickness of the overrunning clutch.
EFFECT: ensuring continuous operation of the system to ensure uniform wear when one of the two electric motors rotates and the other does not rotate.
