FIELD: road construction.
SUBSTANCE: methods for producing petroleum road bitumen from heavy oil residues (options) can be used in the oil refining industry and road construction. One of the options is a method in which oil tar is heated to a temperature of 130-160°C, add potassium permanganate in an amount of 2% by weight of oil tar, the resulting mixture is stirred at a temperature of 200-250°C with a stirrer speed of about 600 rpm for 2 hours. Next, distilled tallow oil and pentaerythritol are added to the resulting mixture in a ratio of 10:1 in a total amount of 1% by weight of oil tar and stirring is continued at a temperature of 250°C. Then, after 4 hours of stirring, the mixture is cooled at room temperature, and ready-made petroleum road bitumen grade BND 130/200 is obtained.
EFFECT: expanding the scope of methods for the specified purpose by developing a more technologically simplified and cost-effective method for producing petroleum road bitumen (options) with improved quality characteristics for use in the conditions of the Far North and areas equated to the regions of the Far North: lower brittleness temperature, higher needle penetration depth at 25°C and increased adhesion to marble or sand.
