FIELD: oil refining.
SUBSTANCE: used to purify kerosene fractions from mercaptans. The method for the demercaptanization of kerosene fractions consists in contacting raw materials and hydrogen in a reactor at elevated temperature and pressure in the presence of a catalyst, followed by the removal of hydrogen sulfide, with preliminary distillation of oil at primary processing units and the separation of light gasoline fraction in the pre-evaporation column, the lower temperature of which is within 281-300°C, and distillation of straight-run gasoline and kerosene fractions in the main distillation column, the upper temperature of which is controlled by acute irrigation with a mixture of gasoline and kerosene in the head part of the main distillation column with a gasoline to kerosene volume ratio of 0.64-0.57:0.36-0.43.
EFFECT: lowering the content of mercaptans in kerosene before the demercaptanization reactor, lowering the temperature of the demercaptanization process and the volume ratio of hydrogen to feedstock before the demercaptanization reactor, increasing the service life of the catalyst, the yield and degree of kerosene purification.
