FIELD: measuring technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to devices for non-contact detection of cable lines by electromagnetic method, and can be used in the operation of earth-moving equipment on the routes of main gas pipelines and industrial sites. The device for detecting cable lines contains an excavator, on the handle at the base of the bucket of which a ferrite coil is installed, connected and grounded on the excavator body by a shielded line with an electromagnetic oscillation receiver installed in the driver's cab. The ferrite coil is configured to capture electromagnetic waves of the generator connected to the cable line and transmit a signal from the generator to the receiver.
EFFECT: safety of cable lines when working with an excavator.
