SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to evaluate the antioxidant activity of preparations based on plant materials from marsh cinquefoil, in particular to develop methods for the treatment of oxidative stress in animals and birds. An accelerated method for assessing the antioxidant activity of plant materials from marsh cinquefoil (Comarum palustre L.) is to determine the antioxidant activity in aqueous infusions of marsh cinquefoil (Comarum palustre L.) by reducing the level of free radical oxidation, determined by the level of malonic dialdehyde (MDA) by the interaction method with thiobarbituric acid in a lipid peroxidation model system represented by lecithin-derived liposomes. To obtain liposomes, 0.5 g of lecithin is poured into 5 ml of distilled water, left for 2 hours for hydration, then 0.15 ml of glycerol is added to the resulting mixture and heated for 30 minutes in a water bath with constant shaking of the mixture, and then the mixture is stored at a temperature of 80–90°C for 1 hour.

EFFECT: reduction of the distortion of the antioxidant activity of plant materials results and reduction of the time spent.
