FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: frequency transducers with double energy conversion for uninterruptible power supply of critical consumers of three-phase alternating current. In the proposed frequency transducer, designed for uninterrupted power supply of AC consumers, there are two power sources - a three-phase AC power source as the main source and a battery as a backup. The frequency transducer makes it possible to protect the input circuits of power generation of a three-phase inverter through the reverse switching of diodes and the absorption of electrical energy that occurs when an electric motor is used as an AC voltage consumer, which, as a result of braking an electric drive with a high inertia load, goes into a generator mode, forming high voltage on the power buses of three-phase inverter. The voltage control on the power buses of a three-phase inverter is carried out using a voltage sensor and, when the maximum allowable constant voltage is reached, the absorption of electrical energy is ensured by converting it into thermal energy released on the resistor. In addition, in the mode of powering the frequency transducer from the battery, when high voltages occur on the power buses of the three-phase inverter due to the braking of the electric drive, excess electrical energy is absorbed by energy recovery to charge the battery. As a result, a constant voltage is maintained on the power buses of the three-phase inverter within the specified allowable limits.

EFFECT: increasing the reliability of the frequency transducer while ensuring its high efficiency.
