FIELD: ATMs.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and system for contactless opening of the upper and/or lower cabinet of an ATM. A method for contactless opening of the upper and lower cabinets of an ATM using a system for contactless opening of the lower and upper cabinets of an ATM, including access control system (ACS) readers, one of which is designed for access to the upper cabinet of the ATM and is located in the upper right part of the ATM, and the other in the upper left part of the ATM and is intended for access to the lower cabinet of the ATM, connected through electrical harnesses to the ACS controller installed inside the ATM, at least four electromechanical locks for blocking the upper and lower cabinets, installed by means of brackets with fasteners in the lower part of the folding front panel and on the left side of the false door of the lower cabinet, and a personalized electronic card with a unique identification number. A personalized electronic card with a unique identification number is brought to one of or both ACS readers, which reads the signal and transmits information through an electrical harness from the said card to the ACS controller, through which the received information is analysed in accordance with the embedded program, the time, date and identification number of the personalized electronic card are recorded and a control signal is transmitted to activate the electromechanical lock. Afterwards, the upper and/or lower cabinet of the ATM is opened, depending on the access rights determined by the personalized electronic card with a unique identification number.

EFFECT: increased security by blocking unauthorized access.
