FIELD: seismic research.
SUBSTANCE: method of land seismic exploration that can be used to study the structure of steeply inclined and vertically layered media. In particular, this method is relevant for identifying anthracite layers in the geological section that are in the stage of isoclinal folding, and for predicting the operating conditions of anthracite deposits, including ensuring the profitability of mining enterprises. A method has been claimed for identifying vertical and steeply inclined layers by reverse scanning on longitudinal refracted waves, which is carried out in two stages. In this case, at the first stage, the study of the section using the CMP method is carried out on a longitudinal profile oriented across the strike of steeply inclined and vertically layered media. At the second stage, seismic observations are carried out along a number of non-longitudinal profiles, choosing a distance Δl between the receiving line and the line of excitation of seismic vibrations is carried out based on the depth of the desired object, on the basis of the dependence of the depth of illumination of the section on the distance between the receiving points and the points of excitation of seismic vibrations obtained at the first stage.
EFFECT: high reliability of obtaining the data on the structural features of steeply inclined layers laterally and in depth; restoration of the volumetric velocity characteristics of the geological environment, including a local heterogeneous body, from a series of horizontal tomographic sections and their central secant vertical tomographic section of the velocity of longitudinal refracted waves.
