FIELD: seismic survey jobs in water areas. SUBSTANCE: radiation and reception of longitudinal and exchange elastic waves are effected in START/STOP modes in placing the receivers on sea bottom and when they are at rest. Device has receivers, multichannel amplifier, switch, recorder, reproducing unit, control unit, excitation command delivery unit, elastic wave source, threshold device and control unit trigger circuit connected in series. Outputs of control unit are connected with control inputs of switch, recorder and reproducing unit; input of threshold device is connected with output of multichannel amplifier; output of threshold device is connected with input of control unit trigger circuit and with input of excitation command delivery unit. Output of trigger circuit is connected with control input of control device. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 cl, 4 dwg
