FIELD: heat engineering.
SUBSTANCE: metal furnace firebox contains walls that form a combustion chamber and at least one heat recovery unit located in it. The heat recovery unit includes a set of lamellas fixed at their ends in support posts, indented from the firebox wall and inclined towards it, forming slots between themselves for passage of flame and flue gases to the firebox wall. The lamellas are inclined against the horizon and are grouped between the support posts in two mirror-symmetrical rows, forming a herringbone pattern with the apex pointing upward. In this case, the support racks are welded to the inner surface of the firebox wall.
EFFECT: improved efficiency.
