SUBSTANCE: used for grinding brittle materials. The method for crushing lump materials is carried out in a roller crusher containing a housing with a drive rotating roll installed in it with stops radially installed on its surface, the working surface of which is directed in the direction of rotation of the roll. Crushing is carried out by shifting the crushed piece of material by the upper edge of the stops in the area where the piece of crushed material exits the unloading chute, located in the upper part of the housing coaxially with the vertical axis of the roll. In this case, the height of the stops is set equal to the size of the gap between the outer surface of the roll and the lower edge of the unloading chute. The stops are replaceable, and the unloading chute is installed with the ability to adjust the gap between the outer surface of the roll and the lower edge of the unloading chute.

EFFECT: crushing method allows to reduce energy consumption for crushing.
