FIELD: separation of gas mixtures.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns a membrane separation unit for gas mixtures, functionally divided into at least two stages of membrane separation, consisting of membrane elements, as well as collectors for the initial raw gas mixture and receiving collectors for permeate and retentate. At least two membrane elements located in a horizontal plane parallel to each other form a horizontal section, installed relative to each other vertically and fixed on a spatial metal frame, at least two horizontal sections form a membrane module, wherein each membrane element contains end covers with fittings for supply of the raw gas mixture and output of the retentate, as well as a permeate outlet fitting located in the central part of the membrane element. Between the nearest membrane separation stages, intermediate retentate receiving and supply collectors are additionally installed, with each subsequent membrane separation stage containing at least one membrane element less than the previous one.
EFFECT: increase in the degree of extraction of components separated from the raw gas stream, a reduction in the loss of valuable target components in the retentate stream while ensuring minimal energy and material costs.
