FIELD: agricultural engineering.

SUBSTANCE: soil-cultivating roller is a hollow cylinder equipped with an axis (1) with ribs (2) evenly spaced around the circumference connecting the vertical discs (3), as well as the axis (1) of the hollow cylinder connected to the hitch (4) and mounted for rotation separately from the vertical discs (3) through the transmission mechanism (5) mounted on the hitch (4). Auxiliary discs (6) are rigidly mounted on the axis (1) of the hollow cylinder. The radius of the auxiliary discs (6) is less than the distance from the centre line of the hollow cylinder to the inner surface of the ribs (2) by half the diameter of the soil clod established by the agrotechnical requirements. On the sides along the periphery of the auxiliary discs (6), wedge-shaped spikes (7) are installed axially and at an equal distance from each other. The length of the wedge-shaped spikes (7) and the distance between adjacent wedge-shaped spikes are equal to the agrotechnically specified maximum size of the soil clod. The wedge-shaped spikes (7) installed on adjacent auxiliary discs (6) are displaced relative to each other by a distance equal to half the maximum size of a soil clod specified by agrotechnical requirements. The distance between adjacent auxiliary discs (6) is equal to two agrotechnically specified maximum sizes of a soil clod.

EFFECT: improved quality of soil rolling and braking of soil clods.
