FIELD: microbiology.
SUBSTANCE: antimicrobial material has been proposed. The material contains a hydrophilic microporous or mesoporous carrier. A photosensitive agent in form of nanoparticles selected from transition metal chalcogenides and a silver-containing component are applied to the surface of the carrier. Heteropolyacids based on molybdenum or tungsten and silicon or phosphorus are encapsulated into the pores of the porous carrier, characterized by a degree of release from the pores of the carrier of no more than 25% of their total content in the hydrophilic material within 30-35 minutes.
EFFECT: antimicrobial material can be used for a long time, including in conditions of high humidity, and the antimicrobial effect of the material can be restored after wetting with water due to lighting.
