FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the designs of parachute systems. The parachute rod automatic release is made in the form of a coaxially articulated composite body connected to the suspension system of the landing object, and a rod with an eye connected to the parachute system link. The automatic release body consists of a central part, an inlet cover with a central hole rigidly attached to it, and a closing cover equipped with an eyelet. The rod passes through the hole in the inlet cover and is held inside the body by locking it against the body with a ball lock and secured by a shear pin. The release of the rod connected to the parachute system from the body associated with the landing object is carried out by cutting off the pin with the rod when it is displaced under the influence of an increasing load from the opening parachute system, and then by opening the ball lock mounted on the rod with a spring, due to a sharp weakening of the loads.
EFFECT: increased reliability of automatic parachute release.
