FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: method for assessing the antimicrobial effect of disinfectants based on polymer compositions by influencing bacterial test cultures. The method includes stages of applying a disinfectant and a bacterial suspension to the test surface: holding them on the surface, applying 0.5 ml of a neutralizer for the disinfectant, collecting liquid from the surface with a sterile swab and inoculation on a solid nutrient medium, incubating for 24-48 hours and assessing the effectiveness of the disinfectant.
EFFECT: comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of the disinfectant when used both for surface disinfection (immediate action) and for the prevention of surface contamination (prolonged action).
